Appearance and description: white or white like fibrous or granular powder
Density: 1.39 g/cm3
Solubility: almost insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, ethyl ether, acetone;Swelling in cold water into a clear or slightly cloudy
colloidal solution
Stability: Solids are flammable and are incompatible with strong oxidizers.

Properties: this product is a white or slightly yellow powder, and odorless, tasteless, non-toxic.
Water solubility and thickening ability: this product can dissolve in cold water to form transparent viscous solution.
Solubility in organic solvents: due to contain a certain amount of hydrophobic methoxide, so this product can be dissolved in some
organic solvents, also soluble in water and organic mixed solvents.
Salt resistance: AS this product is non-ionic and non-polyelectrolyte, it is relatively stable in aqueous solutions of metal salts
or organic electrolytes.
Surface activity: The aqueous solution of this product has surface activity, which makes it emulsify, protect colloid and relative
stability.
Hot gelation: when heated above a certain temperature, the solution of this product can become opaque, resulting in precipitation,
resulting in the loss of viscosity solution.But as it cools, it returns to its original solution state.The temperature at which
condensation and precipitation occur depends on the type of product, the concentration of the solution, and the heating rate.
Low ash content: This product has a very low ash content because it is non-ionic and can be effectively refined by hot water
washing during preparation.
PH stability: the viscosity of the aqueous solution of this product is relatively stable in the range of PH3.0-11.0.
Water retention: Since the product is hydrophilic and its aqueous solution is of high viscosity.It is added to mortar, gypsum,
paint, etc., to maintain high water retention in products.
Shape retention: Compared with other water-soluble polymers, the aqueous solution of this product has special viscoelastic energy.
Its addition has the ability to improve the shape invariability of extruded ceramic products.
Lubricity: adding this product can reduce friction coefficient and improve the lubricity of extruded ceramics and cement products.
Film-forming property: this product produces strong, flexible, transparent sheets with good oil and ester resistance
